Pole Position Logistics is the main logistics partner and coordinator CAATEX in Longyearbyen catering all the logistical needs for the team preparing to head up North. CAATEX main goal is to collect new ocean observation in the ocean around the North Pole, obtain new knowledge on changes in heat in the ocean current and improve the understanding of uncertainties in already existing climate models.
Pole Position Logistics providing cargo solutions for equipment converging in Longyearbyen for the Bridge Builder Expedition lead by the IK Foundation. The purpose of the expedition was to set up and maintain the Martin’s Eye field station on the west coast of Prins Karls Forland. We also consulted the team on how to behave in an area where the Polar bear roam.
We are the main logistics partner with the luxurious Svalbardi - Polar Iceberg water. From our office in Longyearbyen we arrange the distribution of water all over the world.
The Pole Position team provides crew for all mooring operations in the Port of Longyearbyen. During the hectic summer season’s we handle more than 300 mooring operations in Longyearbyen.
